Can I use Square Appointments to power my entire nail salon?
Yes. The variety of Square tools and services extends beyond payments. Square Appointments is an all-in-one point of sale that includes key features of nail salon software (such as scheduling, cancellation fees, and reporting). What payment methods are supported by Square POS?
Square works with any U.S.-issued and most internationally issued magstripe or chip cards bearing a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or UnionPay logo. Square also supports digital payments through wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay (including Tap to Pay functionality).
In addition to traditional payment methods, Square also offers Afterpay for customers looking to spend between $1 and $2,000 for purchases online via Square Online or in person via Square hardware.
How does Square manage tipping for my nail technicians?
Square offers a variety of options for customers to select a tip for their nail technician through the Square Appointments POS.
After customizing the settings, a tipping screen will appear during the checkout process. The screen will prompt customers to add a tip to their service.
Tips can be calculated as a set rate or a percentage of the transaction. Additionally, customers can turn on custom tipping, if preferable.
Can I book appointments and take payments from my website?
Yes. With Square Appointments, you can create an online booking website for your nail salon business or embed a booking widget or button on your existing website. With these tools, customers can view availability by nail technician and book appointments easily online.
