Our January meeting will begin on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at 6:30 pm at the Queens Botanical Gardens, Main Street, Flushing. Those of you who missed the great party should note Kevin Hanrahan as the winner of the Scott rod just in time for bonefish season at Montauk. (Oops)
The program will feature guide and conservation activist David Blinken on the state of our fishery. Plus some fish porn to keep us in the mindset of next season.
Take a few minutes to sign on to the Stripers Forever survey for 2014, and let them gather the data for a report on our declining fishery.
Somerset will soon be upon us and we will have a booth at the entrance to the show. A midwinter injection of cabin fever excitement. We do have a limited number of tickets to the show for members to serve two hours
or more at the booth and have a free admission. And $18 value. The dates of the show are January 23, 24, and 25, 2015.
We look to an active program of trips, speakers, fly tying, and adventures for the new year. Don’t forget the conclave June 5-7, 2015.
Best wishes for Happy Holidays and a prosperous and healthy New Year.
A 2015 membership application is available, as its that time of year again.
